Mary I. "Mickey" DeVos, 82, East Moline, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Funeral services are 11:00AM Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, with visitation 10:00AM until service time at the church. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Church, where she was a member. Mickey was born February 22, 1931 in East Moline, the daughter of Edward and Mary Survinski, Keegan. She married Charles "Chuck" DeVos on April 22, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Chuck died November 9, 1980. Mrs. DeVos had been very active at St. Mary's Church, serving as president of the St. Rita's Altar Society and the National Catholic Society of Foresters. Mary also served funeral luncheons there for many years. She had worked as the office manager of the former Federated Department Store in East Moline, retiring in 1983. She is survived by her sister, Caroline VanderHeyden, Kewanee, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. In addition to her husband, She was preceded in death by sisters, Alice Keegan, Dorothy Rausch, Lucille Gustaf, and Gertrude Harker, brothers Edward Keegan, Lloyd Keegan, and John Keegan.
