Mary Ann Tvarkunas was born March 21, 1945, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Peter and Lorine Bohnert Tvarkunas. She married Michele "Mike" Ferretti August 1, 1964, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline.

A homemaker for many years, Mary Ann was an excellent cook, often preparing the vegetables from Mike's garden. In 1993, she became one of the inaugural employees in the box office at The Mark of the Quad Cities. She delighted in this role that led to many ticket sales, hockey games, and friendships. She retired in 2017, after 24 memorable years.

Mary Ann enjoyed feeding the wild birds and seeing deer in the forest preserve behind her Port Byron home. She liked watching shows on Animal Planet, especially North Woods Law. She loved pool time at her brother's home in Mississippi. More than anything, Mary Ann cherished time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Debi (Sean) McKay, Hampton, Becki (Carl) Woodard, Silvis, Sarah Manion (Clifton Mills) Hampton, Nic Ferretti, Iowa City, and Brazilian children Luciano Quaini and Daniela Philippi; grandchildren Ben (Amber) McKay, Josh (Becky) McKay, Carl Woodard, Ali (Tim) Hall, Callie Coleman, and Darren, Shane, Colin, and Norah Manion; eleven great grandchildren; siblings Betty Banaszek, East Moline, Mike (Pam) Tvarkunas, MS, Tony (Dianne) Tvarkunas, CO, Monica (Larry) Helgesen, TX, and Peter Tvarkunas, NY; brother-in-law, Joe (Nancy) Ferretti, Farmington, IL, and many nieces and nephews.
