Funeral services for Mary Ann Flem, 90, of Silvis, IL, will be 1:00PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Flem died Monday, October 20, 2014, at her home. Mary Ann Berdahl was born August 27, 1924, in Michigan, ND, the daughter of Ole and Almeda Fountaine Berdahl. She married Kenneth K. Laud in 1946. She later married Paul L. Flem July 3, 1999, in Moline, IL. Mary Ann loved country music, dancing and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Paul Flem, Silvis; daughter, Marlow (Bob) Groy, Moline, IL; sons, Kenneth L. (Peggy) Laud, East Moline, and Danny Laud, Peoria, IL; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Haugen, Michigan, ND, and Donna Johnson, Bettendorf, IA; and her special kitty, "Gitty Gub." She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gene K. Laud; grandson, Gene K. Laud; sister, Daisie Laud; and brother, Clayton Berdahl. Memorials may be made to Animal Aid Humane Society.
