Funeral services for Mary Alice Forret, 94, Moline, will be 9 AM Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 2-4PM Sunday at Van Hoe funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a liturgy service will be read at 3:30PM. Mrs. Forret died Friday, April 4, 2008 at Bickford Cottage, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, Bickford Cottage Activity Fund or for masses. Mary Darras was born February 16, 1914 in Hillsdale, IL, the daughter of Emil and Sylvia (Theuninck) Darras. She married Charles Forret August 19, 1939 in Rapids City, IL. He died June 24, 1976. She had been a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Dennis Kerckhove of East Moline; grandchildren (spouse), Lonnie (Jason) Shonk of Lancaster, PA, Thomas (Kelly) Kerckhove of Dunlap, IL, Debra (Brad) Derham of Jerseyville, IL; great grandchildren, Vanessa and Timothy Shonk, Madeline and Catherine Kerckhove, Jessica, Nathan and Jacob Derham; brother, Raymond Darras of Moline; special friend, Charles VandeWalle of East Moline; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Clarence Forret who died October 28, 2004, sisters, Alice Maertens, and Lena Meyer. The family would like to thank the staff at Bickford Cottage, Heartland Hospice, and Dr. Nancy Short for their love and support toward Mary and her family.
