Funeral services for Mary Friday, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Friday died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Riverview Manor, Pleasant Valley, IA . Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mary Fretueg was born May 6, 1925 in Littleton, IL, the daughter of Henry and Lois Franklin Fretueg. She married John Friday October 26, 1940 in Palmyra, MO. He died August 21, 2003. Mary had been a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Helen L. and Jim Malmstrom of Port Byron, IL, Wilma Jean and Robert Hull of Port Byron; son and daughter-in-law, John and Margaret Friday Jr. of Rapids City, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Tilman McDaniel of Wilton, IA, Della and Andy Rock of Wesley, IA, Ethel and Jerry Knight of Cordova, IL.
