Mary was a devoted wife who took immense pride in her children and was an excellent homemaker. She spent most of her life supporting her husband Joe's military career and was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) after he retired from service.

A devout lifelong Catholic, Mary found solace and strength in her faith. She faced the challenges of life with grace and resilience.

Mary loved to cook, sew, play guitar, and piano. As a teenager she used to sing in her father's tavern while he played guitar. She shared her love of music with her children instilling in them an appreciation for learning whether in playing an instrument or in academics.
