Funeral services for Mary R. Groth, 84, East Moline, are 10 AM Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 3:30-7PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. Mrs. Groth died Monday, December 4, 2006 at Heartland Health Care, Moline. Memorials may be made to her granddaughter Katrina's Nursing Education. Mary LeFever was born January 29, 1922 in Wisconsin, the daughter of Camiel and Paula LeFever. Mary graduated from United Township High School, class of 1939. She married Clarence Groth, February 29, 1945 in East Moline. Mary had worked at her family's store Paula's in East Moline. She enjoyed playing and watching rolle bolle, was an active member of the ladies auxilliary of the East End Club and the Friend's Circle Club, both in Moline. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed playing cards. She truly enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching the neighbor kids grow up.
