Funeral services for Mary Guerrero, 89, Moline are 10 am Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, where she was a member. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 2:30-5 pm Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., 1500 6th Street, East Moline. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to her memorial fund. Mary died Wednesday, October 04, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. The former Mary Rico was born March 20, 1917 in Keewatin, MN, the daughter of James and Cecilia Rico. She married Robert Q. Guerrero in Chicago in 1938. He died in 1982. Mary managed the gift/news shop at the former LeClaire Hotel, Moline for over 20 years. A gracious host and proud cook, Mary was a devoted mother, an active grandmother, a compassionate friend and steadfast support in the lives of all she loved. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert, Jr. and daughter, Janet Tomlin. Survivors include a daughter, Christine Guerrero, Boston, MA, a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marla Guerrero, Bettendorf, ten grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, and a sister, Rose Hren, Hibbing, MN.
