Mary M. Harness, 70, Moline, died Saturday, September 1, 2011 at her home after a 26 year battle with cancer. Funeral services are 10AM Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Entombment is in Greenview Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 2-5PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to the King's Daughters. Mary Marjorie Brennan was born September 23, 1940 in Rock Island, the daughter of Ralph and Marjorie (Glynn) Brennan. Mary attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Alleman High School, Rock Island. She married Richard Harness on December 20, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Mary was very active in the King's Daughters, Her family was her life and cherished her children and grandchildren. Mary's kind spirit touched the hearts of many. Survivors include her husband Richard, children (spouse); Elizabeth Roberts, Moline, Mitchell (Cathy) Harness, Silvis, Michael Harness, Moline and Brian Harness, Bossier, LA, grandchildren; Amy, Mary, Alex, Jamie, and Joanne, great-grandchildren; Gauge, Kaylee, Payton, Jorden, Prescilla, Isaac, Austin and Jack, and sisters; Kathleen Mills, Los Angeles, CA and Suzanne Brennan, Rock Island. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Tom Brennan.
