Funeral services for Mary L. Hendricks, 75, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-6:00 pm Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 2:30 pm. Mrs Hendricks died Monday, December 12, 2016, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Mary Finnessy was born July 14, 1941, in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Austin E. and Lucile A. Shaw Finnessy. She married Michael Hendricks February 2, 1963 in Lake Forest, IL. Mary worked in the North Polk Schools, Elkhart, IA, and later in the East Moline School System. She was an active member at Christ the King Catholic Church. She enjoyed activities with friends and family and wintering with her husband in Sun Lakes, AZ. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who adored her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Michael Hendricks, East Moline; children, Steven Hendricks, McKinney, TX, Michelle Hendricks, Davenport, IA, Mark (Susan) Hendricks, Davenport, and Marybeth (Dean) Kugler, Davenport, grandchildren, Joshua Beghtol, Ana Kugler, Eli Kugler, Marquis Hendricks, Colin Hayes, and Mary Grace Armbrust; siblings, Robert (Brenda) Finnessy, Delaware, OH, James (Judy) Finnessy, Centennial, CO, Thomas (Louise) Finnessy, Mason, OH, and Richard (Deb) Finnessy, LeClaire, IA; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kathleen Sels, and brother, John Finnessy. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church.
