Obituary

Funeral services for Mary Ann Horn, 77, East Moline, are 10 AM Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 4-8 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. Mary Ann completed her journey here on Earth with her children by her side, on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9956 She was born June 5, 1929 in East Moline, the daughter of Albert and Madeline (Dumolien) Viscioni. She married Edward Claeys, January 10, 1948. She later married Wilbur Horn, December 22, 1987; he died June 8, 2006. Mary Ann had owned her own beauty shop and yarn shop; she taught needlework and belonged to the Embroiders Guild for many years. She taught adult education at Black Hawk College and most recently retired from John Deere Health in 1991. Mary Ann will always be remembered for her various crafts, knitting, crocheting, needlework and her very giving spirit. Survivors include children and spouses Peggy Redmann, Moline, Bonny and Ken Grigsby, Moline, and Eddie and Linda Claeys, East Moline, grandchildren and spouses; Angela and Mike Barnett, Jimmy and Jeanette Redmann, Chad and Kim Redmann, Sally Jo Buchanan, Kenny Buchanan, Dawn and John Bogdan, Wendy and Jeremy Vercautren, Katie and Amy Murray, Daniel Claeys and Cari Claeys, several great grandchildren, step-children Vicki Laud, Moline and Sandra Moraski, Kewanee, stepgranddaughters; Sonia Moraski and Rhonda Fuller, sisters; Dolly Denys, Silvis, Frannie Doxsee, Silvis, Joyce Bowers, Lincoln, NE, Betty Rideout, Moline, and Rosie Wessell, Orange Park, FL, brother Sonny Viscioni, Coal Valley and a special uncle Louie Viscioni, East Moline and special friend Linda De Lathower, Coal Valley. Her parents, daughter Sally Jo Claeys, husband Wilbur and brother Louie Viscioni preceded her in death. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.vanhoe.com
