Funeral services for Mary Lou Leihsing, 87, of Silvis, IL, will be 11:00 am Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 9:30 am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Leihsing died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Mary Lou Crowe was born June 2, 1929, in Guin, AL, the daughter of Dave and Gertie Stowe Crowe. She married Coston Guin January 21, 1947, in Tupelo, MS. He died February 21, 1978. She later married Lawrence Leihsing February 4, 1991, in Rock Island, IL. He died March 26, 2002. Mary Lou had worked for the East Moline School District for several years. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Ronald) Benge, Wilmington, IL and Linda (Robert) Burkeybile, Silvis; grandchildren, Laurie (Randy) Melvin, Janelle (Bryan) Nicewanner, Valarie (Marcus) Montgomery, Derek (Jamie) Burkeybile, Ron (Jill) Benge and Mike (Victoria) Benge; great grandchildren, Jamie, Chad, Zack, Matthew, Carlie, Katie, J.D., Desire, Chris, Dylan, Dustin, Leah, Ashlyn, Josie, Johnathon, and Miranda; sisters, Ruby Sue Harbin, Guin, AL, and Carol (J.V.) Williams, Hamilton, AL; brothers, Harold (MaeRene) Crowe, Guin, AL, and Jimmy (Lanetta) Crowe, North Port, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; brothers, Euel, DeWitte and Hayward and brother-in-law Talbage Harbin. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
