Funeral services for Mary McCabe, 92, East Moline, are 10 AM Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 4-8 PM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. Mary died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Kahl Home, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Msgr. William J. Cleary Endowment Fund or to the Genesis Medical Center-Illini Foundation. Mary Gotto was born June 13, 1918 in Bankston, IA, the daughter of William and Rachel (Callahan) Gotto. She married Donald McCabe on July 27, 1940 in Bankston, IA. He died on September 20, 1991. Mary worked in the Deli at K-Mart in Moline until 1983. She was a member of St. Anne Parish, the Illini Hospital Auxiliary, the NAMI, Rock Island and supported the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include her children (spouses): Linda M. McCabe of North Riverside, IL, Joyce (Barry) Engelmann, Davenport and Michael (Linda) McCabe of Wheeling, IL, grandchildren; Laura McCabe, Brad McCabe, Nick McCabe, Kristen Sigler, Marty Schubert and Kyle Engelmann; great grandchildren; Callen, Maggie, Ty and Jada, and a sister Virginia Kluesner of Manchester, IA. She is preceded in death by her husband, son Ronald, daughter Carol, sisters; Ceil, Eleanor, and Agnes and brothers; Joe, Gerald, Louie and Butch.
