Funeral services for Mary Frances Pershy, 83, of Silvis, IL, will be 1:00PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Pershy died Monday, July 30, 2012 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Mary Blubaugh was born April 11, 1929 in rural Melrose, IA, the daughter of Leslie and Viola Hollingshead Blubaugh. She married John Pershy March 17, 1945 in Troy, Kansas. They started J&J Campers, Inc, East Moline, in 1964 and retired in 1988. Mary enjoyed all animals, especially dogs. She loved cooking and canning. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, John Pershy of Silvis; son, Ron (Cathy) Pershy, Colona, IL; grandchildren, Brad, Jason, and Michael Pershy; great-grandson, Mason; sister, Maxine Elmore, Des Moines, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marlene Evans, who died Friday, July 27, 2012. Mary and Marlene's funerals will be held together at the funeral home Tuesday.
