Mary Jane Kent-Powell, 90, Colona, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home. Memorial services are 11AM Saturday at Colona First Southern Baptist Church, 305 1st Street, Colona. The family will greet family and friends from 10 AM until service time. Private committal will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Faith in Food program at Colona First Southern Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member.

Mary Jane Fleming was born on June 12, 1931 in Silvis, IL, the daughter of Cyril and Madeline (DePorter) Fleming. She married John "Jack" Kent on December 19, 1955 in Rock Island. He passed away on February 10, 2004. She married William R. Powell on September 10, 2010. He died April 7, 2019. Mary Jane had been a member of the Lioness, enjoyed crocheting and working in her yard. She was a Chicago Cubs Fan.

Survivors include her son, David (Sharon) Clementz, Port Byron, IL, grandchildren; Rose Mary (Jeff) Siirilla, Georgia (Paul) Bohannon and Cassie Kent, great grandchildren; Collette and Sylis, great-great grandchildren; Evan and Roslyn, brother, Richard Fleming, Boyton Beach, FL, and her dear friend, Joyce Hoffman, Colona.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son Jeff Kent.
