Mary Ann Engebrecht , 87, of Silvis, IL, passed away Monday April 28, 2025, at New Perspectives, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4th, at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline, IL, where visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday prior to services. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 5th, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, IL. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or to the Food Pantry of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Mary Ann was born September 14, 1937 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of John and Norma (Kleinschmidt) Rosendahl. She was married to Robert E. Engebrecht.
She was a Registered Nurse for many years at Sunny Acres Nursing Home, Petersburg, IL.
Mary Ann was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. She always liked to be helpful and was active in the women's groups of the church, the food pantry and enjoyed singing in the church choir and going on mission trips.
Mary Ann will be fondly remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Brian (Christine) Engebrecht, Milan, IL, Steven (Tammie) Engebrecht, Helena, MT, and Bruce (Ruth Ann) Engebrecht, Jacksonville, IL; grandchildren, Ben Engebrecht, Katie (Gabriel) Aiello, Caleb Engebrecht, Adam (Breanne) Engebrecht, Kayly (Garrett) Snyder, Elizabeth (Ben) Hollendonner and Joseph Engebrecht; great grandchildren, Clara, William, Blake, Lily, Tanner and Mason; brother, John R. (Jane) Rosendahl, Blue Springs, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and their families.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Norma.
The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to the staffs of New Perspectives and Hospice Compassus for their kindness and care.
