Funeral services for Mary E. Schroeder, 75, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:30 am Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs Schroeder died Monday, March 21, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, IL. Mary Studeny was born July 13, 1940, in Moline, the daughter of John and Blanche Machu Studeny. She married Melvin Schroeder October 3, 1964, in Davenport, IA. Mary had been an active charter member of the Silvis Garden Club. She enjoyed caring for her family, tending her garden at home, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Melvin Schroeder, Silvis; daughters, Laura Schroeder (Kristin Zenk) Phoenix, AZ, and Linda (Steve) Andry, Eldridge, IA; grandchildren, Benjamin Andry Minneapolis, MN, Emily Andry Des Moines, IA, Bryce and Bailey Andry, Eldridge, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the Silvis Garden Club. The family would like to thank Rosewood Care Center and Hospice Compassus for their excellent care.
