Mary Lou Scott, 89, East Moline, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, as a result of a fall. Funeral services are 10am Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis Visitation is 2-5pm Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she was a member. Mary Louise Gremonprez, was born on May 21, 1927 in Moline, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Schatteman) Gremonprez. She married Richard Scott on November 18, 1950 in East Moline. Mary Lou had worked at AMETEK and Hawkins Studio, but the most important part of her life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the game of golf and bridge. She had been a member of the St. Mary's Circle, sang in the funeral choir, liked working in her yard, and in earlier years, bowling. Survivors include her children; Janice (John) DeBuysere, Moline, Jeff (Debbie) Scott, Montgomery, IL, Jerry (Judy) Scott, Geneseo, Jon (Ruth) Scott, Moline and Jamie (Barb) Scott, Woodhull, IL, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her brother Albert (Donna) Gremonprez Jr., Gotha, FL. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings; Frances VandeWater, Bob Gremonprez and 2 infant sisters.
