Funeral services for Mary Ann Smith, 69, of Moline, IL, will be 9:30 am Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3 pm. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at her home. Mary Ann Thornton was born October 28, 1948, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Chuck and Ruth Rofrano Thornton. She was a graduate of Alleman High School Class of 1966. She retired from Trinity Medical Center, where she had been an OB Nurse for 29 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include her children, Christie (Bobby) Schilling, LeClaire, IA, Tim (Rita) Smith, Leander, TX, Dana (David) Phillips, Central City, IA, Terry (Betsy) Smith, Spring, TX, Amy (Justin) Mitton, Hillsdale, IL, and Josh (Laura) Smith, Columbia, MO; 36 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
