Funeral services for Mary Versypt, 96, East Moline, are 11 AM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the East Moline Police Retirement Fund. Mrs. Versypt died Monday, December 3, 2007 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Mary Paskvan was born May 9, 1911 in Novinger, MO, the daughter of Tony and Pauline Paskvan. Her family moved to Albia Iowa, where she lived until her early 20's. She married Seraphin Versypt on July 18, 1948 in East Moline. He died January 29, 1996. Mary had worked as a clerk at the former DeVos Market in East Moline. She was a member of the East Moline American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include many nieces and nephews including Judy (Mrs. Philippe) Biboum, Norfolk, VA and Nancy (Mrs. Jerry) Jacek, Bloomington, IL, and great nieces and nephews including Suzy, Carl and Jake. In addition to her husband, her parents, a sister Eva Stanfel and brothers; Tony, Matt, Phil, John, Frank and Mark Paskvan precede her in death.
