Memorial services for Marylind F. "Lindie" Suter, 93, of East Moline, IL, will be 10 am Monday, August 1, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fort Madison, IA. Mrs. Suter passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Lindie was born May 2, 1929, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Alfred and Rosalind (Jansen) Spexarth. She married James M. Suter May 5, 1989, in Oswego, IL. He passed away March 21, 2017.

She worked as an administrative secretary for 40 years. The last 25 were at Gate City Steel in Omaha, Nebraska.

Perhaps Lindie enjoyed ballroom dancing above all activities which also included traveling more and meeting people. Reading was another pastime and she really enjoyed watching Tiger Woods play golf. Her devout faith was so important to her and she participated in various parish activities. She was a prayer warrior and had a deep love for the rosary.

Survivors include 8 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and great nephews; 6 step children; 8 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Peggy Roffman, East Moline.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Beverly Murphy.
