Maudie Pearl Traywick, passed away December 16, 2023 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

In accordance with her wishes, private burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Arrangements were entrusted to Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.

Maudie was born August 10, 1949 in Moline, Illinois to Merle "Christopher" Cook and Helen Atkin Cook. She was their only daughter and had five brothers, Lesley Atkin, Albert Lee, and Darold Atkin, and two brothers in heaven.

Maudie loved to cook, take care of her plants, play Candy Crush, and take care of her children and grandchildren.

She married her husband, Michael Coleman on October 13, 2008, whom she loved very much. She gave birth to three children, Melody Daggett, Mellissa Daggett, and Marcus Holmes. She also had nine adopted sons; 30 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; two brothers; and special friends, Patricia Mosley and Kathy Krakilow.

Maudie was "the Village", she took care of everyone around her with her warm embrace and motherly love felt by the whole west end community. She will be deeply missed.
