Maurice J. DeKeyrel, 68, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Maurice was born September 22, 1940 in Moline, IL, the son of Fred and Lillian (VandeWeghe) DeKeyrel. He married Judy Slawecki in 1966 at St. Anne Catholic Church in East Moline. They later divorced. He had been a pilot for the former Eagle Food Stores and Deere & Company. Survivors include: sons, Michael DeKeyrel and Mitchell DeKeyrel of TX;five grandchildren, Mariam, Natalie, Connor, Maya and Macy; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Ted DeMeulenaere of East Moline; nephew, Ted DeMeulenaere.
