Graveside services for Max S. Davis, 91, of East Moline, IL, will be 9:00 am Thursday, at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend should be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, by 8:30 am. Mr. Davis died Sunday, November 27, 2016, at his home. Max was born August 5, 1925, in Ottumwa, IA, the son of Harold and Margaret Watts Davis. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Diane Holland September 12, 1949, in Milton, IA. He retired from Deere & Company in 1986, after 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Diane Davis, East Moline; children, Timothy (Katie) Holland-Davis, Perryville, MO, and Anne (Mark) Resetich, Hampton, IL; grandchildren, Katie (Blake) Reedy, Joseph (Katie) Resetich, Jessica (Joshua) Gonzalez, Joshua (Mikayla) Holland-Davis, Amber (Dusty) Gold, and Bryan Davis; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Merrill (Carol) Davis, Moline.
