Funeral services for W. Maxine Darr, 95, of Moline, IL, will be 1:00PM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Darr died Monday, January 09, 2006 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. Memorial may be made to the family. Maxine was born December 15, 1910 in Joplin, MO. She was raised by her stepfather and mother Carl and Alma Wolf. She served in the US Marines during World War II. She married Robert Darr January 14, 1950 in Moline, IL. She had worked for the Rock Island Arsenal as an auditor, retiring in 1978. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and traveling. Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, Robert Darr of Moline; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Judy Darr of Denver, CO; Dale and Toni Darr of East Moline, IL, 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sister, Virginia Buchan of MN; nephews, Burt and Dennis Buchan of MN.
