Funeral services for MayBelle C. Boetje, 99, of Rock Island, IL, will be 11:00AM Tuesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Mrs. Boetje died Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan, where she had been a member. MayBelle Elliott was born December 24, 1912 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Marion and Anna Plunkett Elliott. She married Wilbur H. Sage August 13, 1932 in Rock Island. He died March of 1981. She later married Charles F. Boetje October 15, 1983 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan. He died January 25, 1990. She had worked at the Wilbur Sage Company, owned and operated Mowing Machine Sales & Repair, and worked for Charles Boetje Salads, Milan. Survivors include stepdaughters, Jacquelyn (William) Nesseler, RI, Joyce (Caroll) Corwin, Downey, CA, Joanne (Robert) Dale, Elgin, IL, Judith (Theodore) Knudsen, East Moline, Janet Miller, Moline, IL; many nieces and nephews including, Delores Birely, Milan and Eugene Schmidt, Milan; many great-nieces and nephews, including, Terry Testroet, Milan; special friends, Mardy (Joyce) Davis, Milan.
