Graveside services for Melvina D. Glogowski, 88, of Moline, IL, will be 11:30 AM Thursday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Those wishing to attend should be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, prior to 11:00 AM for prayer. Mrs. Glogowski died Monday, December 19, 2011 peacefully surrounded by family at her home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Hospice. Melvina Brockman was born November 22, 1923 in Steger, IL, the daughter of Martin J. and Addie I. Kroeger Brockman. She married Matthew Glogowski May 17, 1946 in Harvey, IL. He died in April of 1993. In her early life, she enjoyed making ceramics, bowling, and baseball. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Terry (Lynn) Glogowski of Northville, MI, Jerry Glogowski (Liz Clark) of East Moline; grandchildren, Amy, Matthew, Christina, Jason, and Evan; great-granddaughter, Hailey Glogowski.
