Mercedes Sandoval Munoz, 83, of Silvis, IL, died Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.

Mercedes Sandoval was born February 19, 1936, in Silvis, the daughter of Eduvigis "Ed" and Angelina Hernandez Sandoval. She had worked for the Buddy L. Toy Company, Fresh Pak Candy Co., The Quad City Downs, and lastly at United Township High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Laura Nevarez, Moline, Louise Munoz, Silvis, and Mario Munoz, East Moline; grandchildren, Erica Nevarez and David Nevarez; great grandchildren, Brianna, Cassandra, and Eve; great great grandchildren; Tycen and Jaxson; siblings, Tanilo (Connie) Sandoval, East Moline, and Georgia Herrera; East Moline; sister-in-law, Eloise "Dolly" Sandoval.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Esperanza Vasquez, Jennie (Charlie) Garcia, Edward (Theresa) Sandoval, Frank Sandoval, Emidio Sandoval, Joe Sandoval, and Santiago Sandoval; and brother-in-law, Ray Herrera.

Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline.
