Funeral services for Michael J. Barrett, 34, of Hillsdale, IL, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Colona United Methodist Church . Burial will be in Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mr. Barrett died Friday December 2, 2011 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Memorials may be made to the family. Mike was born April 26, 1977 in Rock Island, IL, the son of Charles and Judy Clark Barrett. He was a graduate of Geneseo High School. He married Hether Nefzger June 20, 2008 in Rock Island. He was a master plumber. He owned and operated Integrity Maintenance, Hillsdale. Mike was a loving father and husband. He enjoyed spending time with his boys and they will dearly miss him. Mike was known to all for his generosity to others and having a caring heart. He was deeply loved by his wife, family, and countless friends. He will be tremendously missed. It brings us great comfort to know he is in Gods loving hands. Survivors include his wife, Hether Barrett of Hillsdale; children, Preston and Trevor Barrett, Ryan and Destiny Tegtmeier; mother and stepfather, Judy (Lawrence) Kern, Colona; father, Charles Barrett of Colona; brother, Chuck (Karin) Barrett of Colona; niece Sarah Barrett.
