Funeral services for Michael J. Chappell, 60, of Silvis, IL, will be 11:00 am Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mr. Chappell died Monday, May 15, 2017, at his home. Mike was born April 23, 1957, in Moline, IL, the son of Lloyd and Lurene Speckman Chappell. He married Joann Rogers. He had worked for John Deere Harvester, East Moline. Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Chappell, Moline, IL, Karrie Chappell, Moline, Michaela Chappell, Moline; grandchildren, Alexis, Dasia, Yasmine, Jamal, and Julius; mother, Lurene McCoy, Silvis; siblings, Dalene (Otie) Gerard, Carbon Cliff, IL, and Ricky Chappell, Rock Island.
