Funeral services for Michael R. Donahoe, 62, LeClaire, IA, are 10 AM Thursday at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church, LeClaire. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the River, Clarissa Cook Hospice House or St. Jude's Cancer Research. Mr. Donahoe died Monday, February 4, 2008 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Mike was born March 27, 1945 in Moline, IL, the son of Patrick and Nedra (VanVoltenberg) Donahoe. He married Cathy Diericks on September 4, 1970 in Rock Island. He retired from UPS and most recently worked as a dispatcher for Ruan Transport. Mike was a die-hard NASCAR fan; he enjoyed playing cards and being with friends. He was a hard working man who loved his family very much. He was a member of the East Moline American Legion and the East End Boulders Club. Michael served in the US Army during Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Cathy, daughter and son-in-law Tina and Aaron Dunn, Carbon Cliff, IL, and son Dan Donahoe, LeClaire, and a sister Patricia Lievens, Moline. He is preceded in death by his parents and a half brother Cleo Parker.
