Funeral services for Mike Hurley, 67, of Lebanon,MO, formerly of Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mr Hurley died Friday, July 17, 2009, in Lebanon, MO Memorial donations may be made to the family in hopes of dedicating a memorial along the riverwalk. He was born Dec. 15, 1941, in Rock Island, IL., to C.L. "Pat" Hurley and Genevieve Hannigan Hurley. Mike served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the Rock Island, IL., Sheriff's Department. He had been a "car and motorcycle enthusiast." He is survived by three daughters, Julie Morgan and her partner, Steve, of Moline, IL., Kelly Halverson and her husband, Todd, of Wauwatosa, WI., and Katy Kilgore and her husband, Barry, of East Moline, IL.; two brothers, Barney Hurley and his wife, Chris, of Coal Valley, IL., and James Hurley of Camdenton, MO; one sister, Kathy "Widge" DeJaynes and her husband, Ed, of East Moline, IL.; eight grandchildren, Joshua Hurley, Cody DeNeve, Andrew, Meghan and Alexander Halverson, Erin Cruz (Miguel), and Adam and Erica Kilgore; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Hurley and Gabriella Cruz. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Roz Hurley of Coal Valley, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Anderson. Any car or motorcycle enthusiasts wishing to include their "ride" in the funeral procession, should have them in line at the funeral home by 9:00AM Thursday morning.
