Michael F. Kannenberg, 67, East Moline, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. At Michael's request, his body will be cremated and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to qcpaws.org or to New Beginnings Christian Church, 4100 S. Manhattan Ave., Tampa, FL 33611. Mike was born on December 11, 1945 in Moline, the son of Harry and Madeline (Veys) Kannenberg. He served in the US Marine Corp after High School. He married Lucille Lesthaeghe on March 12, 1983 in Silvis. Mike had owned and operated Dawnscrest Kennel in East Moline. He loved his many dogs through the years and was very fond of his current boy, Not-A-She. He was a friend of Bill W. and had played for the Quad City Mohawks. Survivors include his wife Lucille, siblings, Frances Bratton, Silvis, Susan (Jerry) Hansen, Rock Island, and Dan (Jolene) Kannenberg, East Moline, nieces, Julie Utz, Jenna Kannenberg, Jill Lesthaeghe, and nephews, Steve Bratton, David (Laurie) Lesthaeghe and Kevin (Debbie) Lesthaeghe. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Don Bratton, and nephews, Lorin and Jon.
