Michael A. Kelly , 78, of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, in East Moline.

Arrangements are being made through Van Hoe Funeral Home. Per Michael's wishes, there will be no visitation and the family will celebrate his life privately.

Michael was born January 5, 1948, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Pharis and Ruth (Hammett) Kelly. He married Rosann DeCastaker on July 7, 1979. They were married for 44 years, until her passing on February 16, 2024.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Michael was employed with 3M Company for 40 years.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Louis) Gruhlke; son, Ryan Kelly; granddaughter, Grace Gruhlke; sisters, Susan Laird and Paula Bertelsen; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Rosann; mother and father, Pharis and Ruth; and grandson, Louis Gruhlke, Jr.
