Funeral services for Michael E. Lazoen, 56, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Tuesday at Christ The King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 3:00-7:00PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 2:00 PM. Mr. Lazoen died Friday, October 23, 2009 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. In lieu of flowers and statuary, memorials may be made to the family. Mike was born January 14, 1953 in Moline, IL, the son of Leon Lazoen and Martha Van Tieghem. He married Belinda Harper October 24, 1980 in Moline, IL. Mike was a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Engineering. He had worked for International Harvester, Case, and most recently for Deere&Co. Mike had a wonderful personality which was apparent because "he knew no strangers." He loved his family and friends dearly. Survivors include his wife, Belinda Lazoen of East Moline; son, Ryan Lazoen of Normal, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Veronica and Chris Ericksen of East Moline.
