Michael "Mike" Peters, 74, of Rapids City and Marana, AZ, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. Everyone is invited to join his family at Short Hills Country Club for Mike's 19th Hole Open House on January 20th between 1:00 and 4:00PM.

Mike was born June 7, 1949, in Muscatine, IA, the son of Louis and Alice Bohling Peters. He married Kim Kalloway on May 23, 1986, in Moline, IL. He retired from Deere & Company at the end of 1999. Mike & Kim then began their next chapter with a business in Mazatlan, Mexico until 2020. Together, they enjoyed golfing and traveling the world. Mike's smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

There was pride and a special place in Mike's heart for his 3 grandchildren: Anna (Redington), his fearless fishing buddy, Emma (Peters), always a soccer star in his eyes, and Greer (Peters), with whom he shared a passion for golf from Greer's first steps through his high school tournaments.

Also surviving him are his wife, Kim; children, Gretchen Peters (Andy Stump), Naperville, IL, and Braeden (Amy) Peters, Moline, IL; siblings, Connie Clark East Moline, and Tom (Sharon) Peters, Coal Valley, IL; and many much-loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Ed Clark.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
