Michael L. Salmonson, 72, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026

Mike was the son of Rueben and Mollie (Miner) Salmonson. He graduated from United Township High School and attended Black Hawk College.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no visitation or funeral services. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Mike is survived by his sister Pam (Eldon) Partridge, nieces Erica Salmonson, Hanna (Steven) Etheridge, and Molly Koenig, as well as his BFF18 buddies.

Mike was proceeded in death by his parents and his best friend and brother, Dan.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Senior Star, for their wonderful care and compassion given to Mike. And, a special thanks to Jean from Beacon of Hope Hospice who cared for Mike in his final hours.
