IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael P.
Tiernan
December 31, 1970 – November 15, 2025
Michael Patrick Dever Tiernan, 54, passed away on November 15, 2025, with his family by his side after a courageous battle with a progressive illness and cancer. Born on December 31, 1970, Michael (Mike) lived life entirely on his own terms — boldly, independently, and with a spark that drew people in. Known in his younger years as the party king of East Moline, he carried that same energy and charisma throughout his life.
A mechanic by trade, Mike had a love for cars and a remarkable talent for taking things apart and putting them back together better than before. He especially loved rebuilding engines, diving into home improvement projects, and becoming the unofficial family and friend "product researcher." Whether you needed advice on the best car, television, tool, or even a dehumidifier, Mike was the one you called — he always knew the answer, and he loved helping people find just the right thing.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents and three beloved uncles and an aunt. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Mary (Versypt) Tiernan; his sister, Molly, and brother-in-law, Paul "PJ" Foley; his aunt, Joanne De Coster; and many cherished cousins.
Mike's life was uniquely his — filled with curiosity, loyalty, and countless hours spent tinkering, fixing, and researching. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace, leaving behind memories that will bring smiles for years to come.
