Mildred "Peg" Christoffersen, 92, of Iowa City, formerly of Moline, IL, died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, IA. At Peg's request, there will be no services. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Kimballton, IA. Peg Weston was born August 11, 1915 in Audubon, IA, the daughter of Frank and Mabel (Lieb) Weston. She married Alvin E. Andersen January 3, 1936 in Stillwater, MN. She later married Lloyd R. Christoffersen December 4, 1948 in Omaha, NE. He died in 1972 She had taught rural schools in Audubon County, IA, from 1935-1937 and Scott County, IA, from 1949-1951. She then worked for Westinghouse Electric Supply Company, Davenport, IA, from 1951-1969 and Lighting Assoc Bettendorf, IA & Baer Electric Moline, IL, from 1969-1972. Survivors include; daughter, Patricia Andersen of Jupiter, FL; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sue Andersen, of Kimballton, IA, Lee and Daisy Andersen of Enterprise, AL, Roy and Lovie Andersen of North Liberty, IA; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Frances Snyder Cortner of Audubon, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd Christoffersen, brothers, Calvin, Donald, and Richard Weston, special friend, Louis Matalik.
