Funeral services for Mildred "Millie" DeLeu, 83, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00PM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:30-12:30PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 10:00AM. Mrs. DeLeu died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Genesis Foundation IRC or the Park Vista Activity Fund. Millie was born May 30, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Geno and Mildred Ligeno. After her mothers death she was raised by her aunt and uncle Pearl and Steve Churuvia. She married Elmer J. DeLeu July 1, 1950 in East Moline. He died July 20, 1999. She worked for John Deere Harvester, East Moline, retiring in 1989. She had been a member of AARP, 60+ Club, Ladies of the Moose, Illini Hospital Auxiliary, and the Moline Women's VFW. Survivors include daughter, Diane (Charles) Kolopanas, Rosemary Beach, FL; sons, John (Charlotte) DeLeu, Coral Springs, FL, and Don (Patti) DeLeu, Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Lael (Andy) Bagnell, David and Katie DeLeu, Tosha (Jason) Boshoff, Ellery Brower, Christina Brower, Alexis, Lauren, and John Kolopanas; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Sadie Tomich, East Moline. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Stella Falkinburg and Sophie Nahrgang, brothers, Mike Churuvia, John Churuvia, Nick Churuvia, and Walt Zegarac.
