Obituary

Funeral services for Milo "Mike" Allison, 81, Moline, are 2PM Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct military honors. Visitation is from 12 noon until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. Mike died Saturday, May 09, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. He was born August 22, 1927 in Moline, the son of Milo and Mamie Isabelle (Enderton) Allison. He married Marian Ware on September 13, 1947. She passed on May 3, 2007. Mike was stationed in Iceland and Greenland while serving in the US Army Air Corps from 1945-1947. Mr. Allison retired as a machinist from JI Case. Following retirement he went to work at the Excel Inn, Moline for over 10 years. He was a loving husband and father. He spent many a night listening to his police scanner. Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law Steve Allison, Princeton, IA, Craig and Patricia Allison of Anderson, SC and Kevin Allison, Moline, grandchildren; Boone, Tobin, Whitney, Carlin, Shase and Teresa, great-grandchildren; Bryce, Dylan, Sarah, Robert and Maegen; sisters and brothers-in-law; Gloria and Gene Helfich of Bettendorf and Mary and Robert McCallum Davenport and brothers and sisters-in-law; John and Donnell Baker of Columbia, SC, William and Marsha Baker of Bettendorf and Charles Baker, Davenport, half sisters; Eleanor (Drury) Grings of Davenport and Marilyn (Drury) Edwards, Edmond, OK and a half brother; Robert (Sharon) Drury of Ontario, CA
