Funeral services for Muriel A Fick, 81, Silvis, are 10 AM Saturday at Faith Walk World Outreach Center, Silvis. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Friday at the church and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Faith Walk, where she was a member. Muriel died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. She was born October 4, 1926 in Port Byron, IL, the daughter of George and Cora (Wells) Yost. She married Ferdinand "Bud" Fick. He died in 1986. Muriel retired as a bookkeeper from John Deere. She was a member of Faith Walk World Outreach Center for 21 years, teaching Sunday School for 20 of them. Muriel had traveled all over the USA and the world. She loved children and gave of herself to her Church and community. Muriel also played Mrs. Santa Claus the last 5 years at Christmas In Silvis. Muriel left a legacy of giving to all of those who knew her. Survivors include cousins; Marjorie Parker, Moline, Mildred Woodburn, Port Byron, Roger Riewerts, Loveland, CO, Wayne Riewerts, Hillsdale, IL, Delma Jean Walline, East Moline, Robert Wells, Fulton, IL, and Joyce Billingsly, New Hampton, IA; cousins by marriage Laura Riewerts and Faye Wells; and her church family including; Ray and Nadine Culley, Pastors Scott and Tonya Culley (Heather & Megan),CJ and Rachel Hoffman (Josiah & Melodie) and Kirk and Joni Severs (Joshua, Hannah, Daniel and Andrew).
