Funeral services for Muriel Frances DeGrande, 78, of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Visitation will be from 11:30AM until service time at the funeral home Tuesday. Mrs. De Grande died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Forrest Hill Health and Rehab Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Activity Fund at Forrest Hill. Muriel Davis was born October 14, 1929 in Gladstone, IL, the daughter of William Henry and Elva (Dixon) Davis. She attended East Moline Schools. She married Rene De Grande in 1958. She had worked at the former Moline Licorice Factory for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo. She adored her daughter and loved her family. Survivors include: sisters, Mildred M. Bull of East Moline, Betty Bultinck, Silvis, IL, brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Nancy Davis of East Moline, Wayne and Maxine Davis of San Diego, CA, Clifford and Gloria Davis of Orion, IL; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Barb (De Grande) Pirtle who died December 13, 2000, sister, Ella, brothers, Leon, Eldon, and Glen.
