Funeral services for Myra C. Kleinschmidt, 87, of East Moline, IL, will be noon, Monday, May 15, 2023, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 10:00 am until noon at the church. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Mrs. Kleinschmidt passed away peacefully, Monday, May 8, 2023, at her home at Park Vista.

Myra Kerker was born February 22, 1936, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Kenneth L. and Marie Saunders Kerker. She was a graduate of Alleman High School Class of 1954. She married Richard Paul Hunter in 1959. He passed away in 1983. She later married William H. Kleinschmidt, MD, in 1999. He passed away in 2008. Myra worked in Medical Records at Illini Hospital, Silvis, for 29 years, retiring in 1998.

Survivors include her children, Paul (Sharon) Hunter, Rowlett, TX, Brian Hunter (Dave Daughtery) Davenport, IA, Sara (Daniel) Smeltzly, Port Byron, IL, Peter (Krista) Hunter, Carterville, IL, Emily Hunter (Tim Crimmins), Davenport, IA, and Joann Hill, Little Elm, TX; grandchildren, Hannah Hunter, Sarah Hunter, Rebecca Schriefer, Eric Norman, Brooke Smeltzly, Olivia Hunter, Delaney Wright, and Luke Wright; great grandchildren, Ella Schriefer, Sophia Norman, and Charlotte Norman; siblings, Sister Alice Kerker BVM, Dubuque, IA, Martha Claver, Holiday FL, James (Bev) Kerker, Seminole, FL, Carol Sigler, Rock Island, and Sylvia (Ron) Pollard, Cloverdale, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sisters, Mary Norton and Rita Williams; and her brother, Leo Kerker.
