Funeral Services for Nancy L. Cook, 69, of Colona, IL, will be 10:00AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Cook died Thursday, April 09, 2009 at Trinity Regional Health System at Terrace Park, Bettendorf, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colona Fire Department. Nancy Lane was born January 5, 1940 in Lucas, IA, the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Stonehouse) Lane. She married Robert Cook October 29, 1955 in Colona. He died September 11, 1995. She attended United Township High School. She had worked at H.C. Duke in her earlier years. She and her husband enjoyed going to Bagley, WI for their annual camping trip. She enjoyed watching her boys play baseball and playing Euchre with her friends. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had been a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Colona. Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Cook of Colona, Kenneth and Karen Cook of Dallas, GA, Chuck Cook of Colona; her mother, Dorothy VanKlaveren of Silvis; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, and sisters-in-law, Fred and Betty Lane of Hillsdale, IL, Charles and Evelyn Lane of Colona, Richard and Judy Lane of Geneseo, IL.
