Naomi J. "Jean" Catour, 86, East Moline, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Funeral services are 2PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial in in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 2-5PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Naomi Anderson was born on March 13, 1928 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Olie and Beatrice (Simmons) Anderson. Jean married Howard Catour on May 9, 1953 in Henry County. He died November 7, 1993. She enjoyed her role as wife and mother. She was a member of New Life Fellowship, Moline and spent time expanding her knowledge of God's word through Christian television. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children and spouses, Steve and Shelly Catour, Carbon Cliff, Michael Catour, East Moline, Joel and Mary Catour, East Moline and Bonnie Catour, East Moline, ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, with one on the way and a great-great grandson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Eldon Anderson, Lester Anderson, Ruth Jones and Richard Anderson.
