Nellie A. Ivanoff, 75, Moline, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care, Rock Island. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 5-7PM at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Committal services will be 9AM Monday at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Nellie Buchanan was born on August 13, 1937 in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of George and Thelma Hatfield Buchanan. She married John Thornhill and together they had 2 daughters. She later married Chris Ivanoff Jr. Nellie had worked as a sales lady at Kay Furniture for many years. She was a great mother, who had a deep faith in God, and lived her life by example. Nellie had a special love for her pets Jade and Ms. Kitty, and all wild creatures. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and David Hendershot, Moline, and special friends Alice Brown and Pat Thornhill. She is preceded in death by her daughter Lori Thornhill and 5 brothers.
