Obituary

Nina Bernice Carmichael, 51 of Moline, IL, died Friday, September 23, 2005 at home, surrounded by her family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 7PM Tuesday at Central Baptist Church, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 5-7PM prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Nina B. Hicks was born October 16, 1953 in Hartville, MO, the daughter of Pete and Thelma B. Hicks. She married Randy V. Carmichael Sr., April 2, 1973 in Moline, IL. They had 3 sons, Randy Jr., Jason and John all of Moline, IL. She was an avid Race Car Fan. She enjoyed the local race circuit as well as NASCAR, especially Mark Martin. She had been employed at Jumers Casino Rock Island and the East Moline Speedway until she fell ill. Survivors include: her husband, Randy Carmichael Sr. of Moline; sons, Randy Carmichael Jr, Jason and John ( fiancéeв?? Summer Piliponis); grandchildren, Zackary Foster, Brittany Totten, Hannah Piliponis, Alysa Carmichael, Arysa Lopez, Gayven Totten; mother Thelma Trusty ; sisters, Orpha Lawson, Merinda Sufal, Ester Hicks, Donna Cody, Virgie Green, Margie Cole; brothers, Dan Eden, Dale Hicks, Jack Hicks and Andy Hicks; several nieces and nephews, especially Tom and Tracey Peterson. She is preceded in death by her father. The family would like to thank Dr. Garneau, and his staff, the Trinity Visiting Nurses, Pathway Hospice and to Jimmy Morgan for his help through this hard time.
