Noel "Joe" Lambert, 91, Carbon Cliff, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Hampton Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverview Free Will Church, Bettendorf, where he was a devoted member. Joe was born October 28, 1925 in Missouri, the son of Clark and Lily (Freeman) Lambert. He married Norma Wright on July 9, 1948. She died May 28, 2010. He served in the US Army during WWII. He ran Lambert's Body and Frame in Moline for many years. Survivors include his children, Jeff (Dianna) Lambert, Rapids City, Teresa Frenell, Port Byron, Joe (Sherry) Lambert, East Moline, Mike (Beth) Lambert, Waukesha, WI and Rodney (Amy) Lambert, Aledo, seventeen grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren with one on the way and siblings, Frieda Holt, Ava, MO and David Lambert, Highlandville, MO. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter and 7 brothers and sisters.
