Obituary

Nola Mae Lueth, 66, East Moline, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her home. Memorial services are 10 AM Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Inurnment will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. A memorial fund has been established. Nola Barlett was born on December 2, 1947 in Bremerton, WA, the daughter of Arthur and Lorena (Andrews) Barlett. She graduated from Moline High School. She married John Skaggs on July 31, 1965. She later married Chuck Lueth Jr. on December 31, 1969 in Colorado Springs, CO. Chuck died May 29, 1989. Nola ran the family business, Chuck's Appliance until 2007. She had worked most recently at Country Style Ice Cream, East Moline. Nola had been the first female president of East Moline Rotary. She had also served as treasurer of East Moline Rotary and had received the Paul Harris award. She had been treasurer of Miss Black Hawk Valley and Miss Scott County and volunteered her time for many area charities. Nola loved to dance, play cards and golf. Survivors include her children, Julie Dennhardt, Geneseo and Chuck (Cortney) Lueth III, Cordova, step children, Sharon, Rick, Kim and Jeri, grandchildren, Jessica, Brittany, Melissa, Chuck IV, Adam, Charlea, Langdon, Ed, Geoffrey, Troy and Tiffany, 5 great grandchildren and sisters, Loretta Dietz, Rock Island and Linda Berhenke, Silvis. In addition to her husband Chuck, she was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Alta and Glenda.
